PURPOSE & INTENTION

1.1 The purpose of this policy is to outline the ways in which NOVAS will treat personal information that is disclosed to us through our website.

1.2 This Privacy Policy covers how NOVAS uses information gathered from you when you use our website, contact us, or sign up to receive NOVAS publications, digital or otherwise.

1.3 This policy outlines which information we collect and who has access to this information.

2.1 The NOVAS National Office is Headquartered at 87 O’Connell Street, Limerick, V94 XN51. Our website is www.novas.ie.

2.2 Our Company Registration Number is 330018, our Registered Charity Number is 20041533 and our CHY number is 13390.

2.3 If you have any queries or comments about the policy or our use of your personal information, please get in touch with us by telephoning us on (061) 370325.

2.4 This Policy does not cover the practices of companies that NOVAS does not own or control or the actions of people that NOVAS do not employ or manage.

2.5 This Privacy Policy may change in the future. We invite you to check back periodically to see if we have made any changes.

2.6 By using the NOVAS website and any services we offer via the website, you are agreeing to be bound by this policy in respect of the information collected about you.

3.1 At NOVAS we are committed to protecting your privacy and we believe we have taken every step necessary to adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

ACCESS TO INFORMATION

5.1 The staff at NOVAS and certain, relevant third party suppliers have access to the information, including personal information that we have collected from you. If our organisation enters into a joint venture with, or is merged with another entity, your information may be disclosed to our new partners or the new entity. We will not otherwise disclose, sell or distribute your information to any third party without your permission unless we are required to do so by law.

5.5 Retention Periods: In accordance with our retention policy, mailing lists are deleted immediately on request of removal. Mailing lists are reviewed every two years and if there has been no engagement within this period, users will be removed from the mailing list. CVs and job applications are deleted after 12 months. If staff have received no engagement from users regarding inquiries, any communication will also be deleted after 24 months.
